Nicolau Morar

Dr Nicolau Iralal Morar joined City from Cranfield University, where he was Research Fellow in High Temperature Materials Performance and Manufacturing. Dr Morar holds a PhD in Production Engineering from Cranfield University (UK) and BEng and MEng degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the Kingston University London (UK). He started his career as an engineer intern at GE Aviation Wales (UK); then joined Cranfield for PhD research in EPSRC Through-life Engineering Services (TES) Centre with Rolls-Royce. Prior to his present appointment as a Lecturer in Manufact His main research interests are in Engineering Education, Industry 4.0 and Automation, Learning Factories, Sustainable Engineering Design and Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, High Temperature Materials Degradation, and Surface Enhancement Technologies. Dr Morar is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Chartered Engineering (CEng, IOM3), and Member of European Society of Engineering Education since 2022.
