The Feeding Our Families study was a two-phase participatory research project led by researchers Charlotte Gallagher Squires and Olubunmi Kolawole from the Centre for Food Policy between March and December 2023. In phase one, parents from Hounslow living on a low income captured their experiences of feeding their families during the cost of living crisis through photography. The parents' photographs are complemented by written narratives or "captions" which further describe the factors which shape their family feeding experiences and their policy asks.

In phase two, the parents and the researchers jointly designed a policy co-creation workshop in which the parents and local decision-makers worked together to develop policy solutions to support healthier eating practices, based on the study findings.

This photobook presents the study methods and context, the parents' final photographs and captions, and the policy recommendations which emerged from the co-creation workshop.
