Consultation: Is there a need for a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) data dashboard

In February 2024, the VISION (UKPRP Violence, Health and Society) consortium launched a consultation on whether there was still a need for a UK VAWG data dashboard. This consultation sought views on: a) whether the original dashboard was useful; b) who used it and why; and c) if a dashboard was to continue, what aspects should be kept, dropped or added.

Responses to the consultation have been used to inform this report, intended to inform decisions on whether there should be a data dashboard. Participants were informed that they need only answer as many questions as they liked and that they could provide contact details or complete the consultation anonymously. This report includes a list of the groups and organisations that participated (where details were provided). Individuals are not named, although quotes are taken from the text provided where these are non-disclosive.

Details are provided about the characteristics of participants, their prior use of the dashboard, and their views of the need for a dashboard in the future and what it should look like.
