However, eye-diseases that affect the back of the eye, such as glaucoma or AMD, are often poorly understood. In those cases, light is focused correctly on the retina, but is not encoded properly by the brain. It is hard to imagine how that effects our vision. To make matters worse, the depictions you see if you search online are often wildly inaccurate. To address this problem, we have developed a platform to simulate various aspects of eye-disease, using virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR). We hope to use this platform as an educational aid, and as a tool for evaluating the accessibility of products and environments. %I City, University of London
